ISO 29990 was developed to provide a quality framework for learning services outside formal education, including training organizations, professional development providers, vocational training institutions, and other learning-service providers. It addressed the development, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of learning services while focusing on the needs of learners and other relevant stakeholders. ISO 29990 has been withdrawn and replaced by newer ISO standards, so organizations should consider the applicable current standards when developing a learning-services management framework.
